What is an Angel?Angels are not human in the same way that humans are. The ones who hold human features can be closer identified to "dolls" or "puppets". They are created to serve under their specific God, without a will of their own. Each doll created is another angel's soul harbored.This is also why it is so bad when an angel develops a consciousness beyond their Lord's Will...Locke, one of many Angels within a holy army was sent to fight against darkness in a warzone that held no room for mercy or hesitation. Combat was no stranger to these Angels, where the battlefield was stained with blood, sweat, tears, Feathers fallen from lost comrades, a slew of bodies, both Angelic and Demonic in nature... There was no words to describe it beyond "horrific".All these things brewed a perfect storm to test the loyalty and perseverance of the Angels.In combat, such a trial stood before Locke, who was tasked to eliminate a rather pesky, powerful demon.
Yet, in a moment of weakness, cowardice took over, causing Locke to flee from battle, their lifeline barely on a thread.This choice would have it's consequences. There is no mind that defies the will of their Lord.Locke was discharged and cast to purgatory, to walk among those forgotten.
Here they stand now, hoping one day their labors will spark forgiveness and acceptance.
